Everything will be looking up during this brand new event at the DeKalb Taylor Airport, featuring live music, hot air balloons and craft beers from Forge Brewhouse and Fatty’s Pub & Grille.
The first Balloons, Brews & Blues will take place Saturday, June 22, at DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport, 3232 Pleasant St, DeKalb, Illinois 60115. Held in partnership with the City of DeKalb.
Doors open at 3:00 p.m.
Exciting music entertainment for Balloons, Brews, Blues:
Opening Band: 4:00 p.m. – Luxury Pork
Main Show: 6:30 p.m. – Johnny & the Boomers
Special Balloon After-Glow – 8:30 p.m.
You can talk to hot air balloon pilots, see military vehicle displays, hear live music and enjoy some beer. There is also the opportunity to learn more about the local Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and Civil Air Patrol (CAP)of DeKalb.
Family Friendly event. $5.00 General Admission, Children under 12 free. Parking FREE!
Volunteers Needed
Balloons, Brews & Blues is looking for volunteers to assist with the event. The jobs are easy, but important.
They have two (2) shifts: 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. and 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Volunteers get free admission to the event and a chance to help bring a great event to DeKalb.
