When NIU engineering student Oleseun Taiwo designed a prosthetic hand for a 12-year-old violinist, he made a difference in both of their lives. Playing the violin was a challenge for Sarah Valentiner, who was born without a right hand. With the help of the custom prosthesis Taiwo designed, making beautiful music just became easier. “When I started in engineering I figured I’d just get my degree and get a job. This changed me. It gave me goals,” says Taiwo. You can help students like Taiwo who dream of an education and making the world a better place.
